2009 Director Elections
The below process was agreed to by consensus at the meeting on 2009-11-17.
NOM_DATE: 2009-12-01. Date nominations close. NOMINATIONS ARE CLOSED.
ELECTION_DATE: 2009-12-08. Date on which the elections are held. Ballot collection will close at 9PM on this date. Absentee ballots must be received by this date.
VOTE_COUNTER: Person who processes the votes. Seth Schoen, the Secretary, will do this with the assistance of at least one other person TBD.

Первый раз на Тенерифе отдыхали девять лет назад. До этого мы с женой основном отдыхали в Египте или в Турции, но с тех пор, как посетили Канарские острова, каждый год приезжаем на Канары. За это время посетили все острова архипелага. Последние два года приезжали тут отдыхать и летом, и зимой. Для проживания предпочитали арендовать квартиру, чем останавливаться в гостинице. Прошлом году мы с женой решили купить квартиру на островах. Тенерифе выбрали из-за хорошего географического расположения и развитой инфраструктуры. Рассмотрели большое количество вариантов. В итоге квартиру с двумя спальнями в городке Costa Adeje купили за 150 000 евро через компанию www.janatenerife.com. Для приобретения недвижимости брали ипотечный кредит в банке CajaSur. Поскольку соответствовали всеми критериями банка, то проблемы с получением кредита не возникли. Кредитная ставка - 4% годовых! Весь процесс занял примерно два месяца и уже в этом году два раза отдыхали на Канарах, живя в своей квартире! Так как приезжаем только на полтора месяца в году, то в остальное время квартиру сдаём, что покрывает часть ежемесячного кредита.
Election results
Rachel, Andy, Miloh, and Ani were elected as directors of Noisebridge.
Ballot data
38 ballots were deposited in the ballot box. Three ballots were not counted:
- One ballot was a spoof containing a vote for Richard Nixon.
- One ballot was a piece of paper with just the name "Ani" written large in crayon.
- One ballot had some candidates ranked with integers, some with e and pi, one with sqrt(-1), and one with infinity.
- The counters felt that if sqrt(-1) had not been present then the voter's intent would have been obvious, but given incommensurate cartesian values it was a spoiled ballot.
Other than the noncounted ballots, the following was also observed:
- Several ballots had crossed-out values, difficult-to-read integers, and other confusion, but were easy to agree on an interpretation.
- One ballot had checkmarks rather than integers, and was treated as a "1" vote for each check and a - for each blank.
