If you'd like to host an event yourself, we recommend bringing in at least one Noisebridge member, and getting advice on hosting an event at Noisebridge.

Want to host your event at Noisebridge? We like seeing classes and talks on interesting things pertaining to various subjects of hacking. Most of all, we like seeing familiar faces. Please participate in the space and our weekly Tuesday meetings to see if we're the right audience for what you want to share before announcing a new event. Additionally, please see our events hosting page for suggestions on how to use Noisebridge for your event/class/workshop.

|title = Arduino for Total Newbies
|description = Taught by Mitch Altman. This workshop is easy enough for total newbies to learn all you need to know to get going on an Arduino. Participants will make their own Arduino clone, and set it up on solderless breadboards to make their own TV-B-Gone remote control to turn off TVs in public places -- a fun way to learn Arduino (and electronics) basics. Bring your laptop, if you can.  1:00pm - 4:30pm.  <span style="color:orange">You need to register for this workshop</span> -- click here for more info].

|title = Designing Custom Circuit Boards with Eagle CAD
|description = Taught by Jeremy Blum. This workshop will focus on using the popular Eagle CAD schematic capture and PCB design tool to design a custom printed circuit board (PCB) from scratch. Participants will learn how to create a schematic for their design, import part libraries, generate a layout, route traces, and export a PCB design. At the end of the class, participants will optionally be able to send their designs to a batch PCB fabricator so they can be manufactured (for a few dollars per board). Electronics experience is helpful but not required - all are welcome! [Class is ~2 hours]

2013
2013
Revision as of 20:53, 29 June 2015

Official, Semi-Official, one-off and other events at the Noisebridge space.

Event Calendar

Not all events make it onto this calendar. Many events only make it to the Discussion or Announcements mailing lists, IRC or in person at Tuesday meetings. Best of all, Noisebridge is about people getting together at the space in San Francisco to do stuff. DO pay attention, as some events just arise organically from the bottom up!
