It is without a doubt the Noisebridge has, under the throws of coronavirus, become more accessible to disabled people than it has ever been before.  After years of hardship with a broken elevator, it has been a wonderful shift in these recent weeks to take part in remote meetings again.  As a wheelchair user and severely disabled member, I cannot always take buses to the space and I know other disabled members have similar challenges.
Let's move forward as a community and continue this improvement in accessibility.  Let us not take steps backward after The physical space re-opens.  We are earning the value of access as a community together, and all the good things that come with it.
This consensus proposal Is for:
1.  Continuing video and/or audio attendance options for Noisebridge General Meetings (usually on Tuesdays), specifically for disabled people as a reasonable disability accommodation as outlines by Title II of the American with Disabilities Act.

This is a page for hosting consensus items currently under debate, with their formal wording.

Is your consensus item still drafty, in need of much revision, and not something that you think people already can more or less agree with? Perhaps it belongs on the Draft Consensus Items page, instead?

The Consensus Items History is the public record of consensus items that have been decided on in the past. Please move the records from the "Current" page to the "History" page once they've been approved/blocked.

This consensus proposal Is for: 1. Continuing video and/or audio attendance options for Noisebridge General Meetings (usually on Tuesdays), specifically for disabled people as a reasonable disability accommodation as outlines by Title II of the American with Disabilities Act.
