Not really, it leaves a 10-20mm stripe of light and black vertically pretty much at the middle of the scan area. Sometimes it hangs too, causing some scanning software to crash. The USB cable that came with it was kinda broken but changing it didn't fix anything.

I recommend using it with xsane on any recent version of Linux. It works out of the box and is able to cope with the errors from the scanner (until the thing totally refuses to scan).
