=Services= ==Electricity== We have a business account with PG&E to provide service to two meters for us. The master switches for these meters are located in the basement, and are both labeled "3rd Floor". Their meter numbers 6331H5 for the back of the space (east side, away from Mission St.), and 703T78 for the front side (west side, against Mission St). The meters will have these numbers on them as well. *Electricity: Details on our usage rates and the amount we spend. *Electrical Map: Layout of electrical wiring and systems. ==Trash and Recycling== We currently have bins from Sunset Scavenger. :Trash pickup is Friday morning! :Please take the bins out Thursday nights by midnight as the trash truck comes between 1:30 to 2:30am so we can be sure they're out in time. As of Oct 2021 we have trash and recycling pickup from Sunset Recology, FRIDAY mornings around 2 am - 4 am. On Thursday, ask others to help! Go around the whole space to check the smaller trash containers. Empty them into trash/recycling bags. Then add those bags into the large blue and black one under the front stairs. Remember to check: * wood shop dust collector * wood shop sawdust bin * wood scrap bin * both bathrooms * small trash and recycling cans in every room Please replace trash bags in the medium sized bins. Trash bags are generally stored in the bathroom and on the white shelves by the hack lounge. Also excellent, bag up loose trash before you put it into the large bins! On Thursday any time, move the large bins out to the front porch. Thursday night, move the large bins out to the sidewalk! Friday morning, bring the large bins back inside. It's good to keep the trash contained in bags, because if it isn't, when the collectors empty the large bins into their truck, trash blows out and gets all over the street. Don't use hard drugs at Noisebridge. If the sharps container becomes half-full or so, please take it to GLIDE at 6th and Mission and get a replacement container of the same dimensions. Please document how that process works when you do. ====Compost==== Compost, at least according to the SF Department of the Environment definition, is basically any and all food, plus stuff that can biodegrade, like paper towels, coffee grounds, pizza boxes, "Compostable"-labeled plastic, etc. Compost goes in the green bin. ====Recycling==== Recycling, broadly speaking, is non-food-soiled paper, alumin(i)um and tin cans, glass and PET(E) plastic. Please give food-soiled items a brief rinse before dropping them in the bin (food-soiled paper can be composted). For more information on what specific plastics can be recycled curbside in SF, check the Recology website. *No plastic bags *Styrofoam is not curbside recyclable! Recycling goes in the blue bin. ====Garbage==== Trash is basically everything else not specified above. Landfill waste goes in the black bin. ===Street cans=== * 1 large bin for trash * 1 large bin for recycling Both bins live in the elevator room; please keep them there. ===Space cans=== The space has four large cans in a wooden framework: *2 landfill (black) *1 recycling (blue) *1 compost/food waste (green) San Francisco mandates that waste be separated into the appropriate bin. Each has a graphical sticker placed on it by the garbage company denoting what is appropriate for which. When in doubt you can try checking the Recology site to see what can go in the blue can or the green can. When the can gets full please tie off the bag and dump it into the large street cans living in the elevator room. Bag liners can be found in the bathrooms, kitchenette, and white utility shelves downstairs; please put one back in the can when done. ==E-waste== Got something that's e-waste? Desktop computer? Monitor? Electronics? Batteries? There's a space in the elevator room for all that. The pile should only be used for Noisebridge items and not a personal dumping ground. ==== Kim ==== Kim lives nearby, came by in summer 2011, and works as a recycler for metal and ewaste. Contact her at 2krandolph (at) gmail.com if you have electronic waste, metal desks, metal shelving, refrigerators, stoves, televisions, cell phones, and so on that need to be picked up. ====Trash Warrior==== We've used Trash Warrior a few times at 272 Capp. You can use their website to schedule a pickup. A truckload of stuff is usually about $75-100. Take a photo of the stuff nicely staged on the front porch or the curb to attach to the pickup request. ==== Environmental Logistics Management ==== Environmental Logistics Management & Asset Recovery Services Corporation does free picks up of 30lb or more. If you feel that the pile is large enough for a pick up, please go to their site and schedule a pickup then email the list stating the date and time.\ ==== E-WasteSF ==== E-WasteSF Phone:(415) 483-6868 This place is on 2915 16th Street near the BART station. Go down Capp & then turn right onto 16th and it's halfway down the block. You should make sure that what you are bringing does not contain paint, ink, and things that are not composed of metals / electronics. Make sure to have some computers when you bring E-Waste over and double-check the website first to see what they take and charge. Do NOT tell them you are from a company and try to make trips as infrequent as possible. We want to work with them, not against them. ==Cleaning Service== Skyline Building Care used to come by once a month. Service was cancelled in November.
