Accasability to the space | ## Accasability to the space | ||
Zach: There is some work to be done. I updated the accasibility page on the wiki. It would be really greate if nb had more things avaliable for people with disabilities to come into the space. We don't have tactile or audio aids for people comming into the space. We also don't have bars in the bathroom, which are required by ada. I think it's very achievable for the space. | Zach: There is some work to be done. I updated the accasibility page on the wiki. Zach: We should also have a meeting/event to educate others around disability, and little things that can be done to improve weelchair accassability in the space. There are some spaces that aren't ever going to be accessable, but some spaces could be easily improved. | Zach: We should also have a meeting/event to educate others around disability, and little things that can be done to improve weelchair accassability in the space. Zach: A bunch of people have been working on the elevator. I worked with Henner and a bunch of other people, and I updated the wiki. I'm still looking for help doing additional repairs. Wiki has ideas for additional improvements. Henner: There is one gate on the street side that is missing some segments. The button downstairs needs to be fixed. Zach: I have been comming here on wed, and circuit hacking mondays. Incase anybody wants to help.
- Accasability to the space
Zach: There is some work to be done. I updated the accasibility page on the wiki. It would be really greate if nb had more things avaliable for people with disabilities to come into the space. We don't have tactile or audio aids for people comming into the space. We also don't have bars in the bathroom, which are required by ada. I think it's very achievable for the space. Zach: We should also have a meeting/event to educate others around disability, and little things that can be done to improve weelchair accassability in the space. There are some spaces that aren't ever going to be accessable, but some spaces could be easily improved. J: I def think there should be something around it. We should start a nice simple page Henner: I think we should have an event of some sort, were we discuss things that can be improved. And talk about the needs or disabled people. Then we can do-icraticly work to solve these problems. Guided by the people who need these changes. Even people who just come here for a week, this is a project that they could help work on at the space, and th ey can just do it.
J: If anybody wants to put up an event, you can talk to us on slack and we'll set things in the NB meetup calander (excelence towards others required).
Zach: Noisebridge is one of the most accessable spaces I know in sf. J: Slack is a thing. People who spend a lot of time in the space are welcome to ask around to get access to slack. Tons of channels, Field trips, infosec, random, etc.
If any important discussion happens, it should be happening after forward progress is made during consensus. [edit]End of Meeting Return the membership binder to its rightful location. Discuss any items for which there was not time during the meeting. Enjoy the company of your fellow hacker, robot, or robothacker. [edit]Note taker posts the notes Clean and tidy the meeting notes including removing all these really verbose instructions. Fill out the short summary at the top listing just announcements, consensus items, discussion topics, and names of new members and philanthropists. Copy paste the notes to the next meeting page. (They will become Last meeting at midnight.) Email the meeting summary to Noisebridge Discuss and Noisebridge Announce lists. CC on the email treasurer@noisebridge.net and secretary@noisebridge.net if there are new members and philanthropists. Edit the Current Consensus Items if anything is proposed for consensus next week. Edit the Consensus Items History if anything was reached consensus or failed to reach consensus this week. [edit]Fun things to do after Reprise of the Hackernationale. [This is anarchy - we do what the wiki says!] PGP Key Signing could happen now (if it doesn't happen before any given Meeting). Ask others around the space or check the list to see who wants in on the action.
