== Discussion SF Made == SF Made Connection? Corey-talked with Naomi about SF made, How we contact them, and let them know noisebridge mission, and how it alines with them and what issues noisebridge faces. Created an email that will be condenced hope to have email ready by next Tuesday https://www.noisebridge.net/images/c/c7/Coreyfro.png Pyconaut- I have a outreach document that was made back in 2019 that might have a few easy to use parts. here is the ueful section WHO IS NOISEBRIDGE? We are Noisebridge: a 5200 square-foot community-operated, non-profit hackerspace in San Francisco whose mission is to provide a space for people to learn, play, create, and share. A hacker by common terms - outside of media’s current bias - is someone who redefines the technological utilization of a piece of technology, or modifies the manipulation of that technology, and allows it to go above and beyond the capabilities inherent to the design of that technology. Noisebridge serves as a creative home for hackers from all walks of life who are interested in programming, hardware, crafts, science, robotics, art, and technology. Open 365 days a year, Noisebridge events, programs and workspace are available for free to anyone who walks through our door. We believe that the way to truly improve our community is to empower everyone to develop their personal skills and use them to collaborate on projects that change the world for the better. For example, we’ve already helped incubate a number of startup endeavors, and we consistently partner with local, state, national, and international groups on many projects. We never put a limit on access to our space, thus we never put a limit on creativity! Noisebridge is do-ocratically run by everyone. Do-ocracy means if you want to do something, you just do it, but remember to be excellent to others in the process. With no hierarchy, anyone can use the space regardless of being a member or not, and all are welcome as long as they follow our one rule: "Be excellent to each other". For the past decade, this idealistic and inclusive model has proven successful, enabling us to build a vibrant and diverse community. Currently we are 37% POC or non-white, 34% of us make less than $50,000 a year, and 33% are female. We also have a large, and active community of people who identify as LGBTQIAA+. We provide over 8,760 hours of publicly accessible creative space to local communities annually, including a wide variety of educational community activities; electronics, sewing, wood and metal-working, 3D printing, 3D modeling, virtual reality development, and niche programming language education. We also support writing groups, art installations, music performances, and host community partner events. These activities make Noisebridge a vibrant source of professional inspiration and currency to many communities. Pyconaut- hope some of this is helpful or can be used. Dan- looking ffor similar stuff from our bylaws from noisebridge vision page- https://www.noisebridge.net/wiki/Noisebridge_Vision Through talks, classes, workshops, collaborative projects, and other activities, we want to encourage research, knowledge exchange, learning, and mentoring in a safe, clean space. We provide educational spaces for teaching practical skills and theory of technology, science, and art. We provide work space, storage, and other resources for projects related to art, science, and technology that will benefit the individual members' personal growth in their fields of interest, encouraging the individual members to share their projects and knowledge for the betterment of society through art, science and technology. We create, learn, and teach, individually and as a group, inviting members of the community in the San Francisco Bay area and the world. We develop, support the development of, and provide resources for the development of free and open source software and hardware for the benefit of society. We promote collaboration across disciplines for the benefit of cultural, charitable, and scientific causes. TJ- Naomi will probably post a few
