Anarchist societies under a capitalist state need money to survive and thrive, yo.

Patreon donations are down (went from ~$2K to ~$600). Discussing ways to get the cash flow back up. We should let people know that Noisebridge is open again. Classes? Events? Parties might not be the most responsible thing right now.

Spending Needs

Gotta spend money on XYZ (i.e. Gate, wiring etc.). WHO CAN SIGN THE CHECK OR LEND THE CREDIT CARD!?!?! It doesn't matter if we agree to do something and it can’t be paid for. - I can (Lizzard) but still in Tyler's name (waiting on my own card) - able to do reimbursements and stuff - we need more people who can use the money / - we really need 2 treasurers - can we just hire an accountant? we have one + a tax person?

Only for talking about Big C consensus items, small c consensus items should be discussed with people at the space at the time of the change/new item.

Philanthropists who wish to become full Members will require the following to become Members:

• 1 additional Sponsor signature (Member) on their application form.
• Fill out Membership questionnaire representing prospective Member's aspirations at Noisebridge.
• At least 4 weeks must transpire between becoming a Philanthropist and the start of the effective application for Membership.
• Another 4 weeks must transpire between Philanthropist-to-Membership application (+1 sponsor and questionnaire) to become a Member.
• A Philanthropy applicant can fill out the Member application form at the same time they fill out a form to become a Philanthropist.
• Community members must be made aware of Philanthropist-to-Member applications during the 4-week lead period to a Philanthropist becoming a Member (up to current Membership's discretion how this is done).

Sofia- Worry about to many cooks in the kitchen during contentious issues and making things pass.

Woz-just to be clear, all existing provisions on https://www.noisebridge.net/wiki/Membership that do not explicitly conflict with the new consensus item are still in effect? IE, you lose membership if you stop paying woz says:If we are worried about block power being abused, It might also be good to consider revising block power... Crazy out of the box suggestion: like if 10 members do anti-block, then that overrides one block

woz-* We could try this for 6 months and see how it works. We have precedent for doing such things.

- No one blocks. It shall be so! (for the next 6 months) In 6 months we revisit this and decide if we want to reaffirm it!

Consensus Item 2

Putting this as one consensus item for now, as the multi-consensus format seemed like a mistake. In any case, the last consensus of Noisebridge is this: - It is Excellent to be fully vaccinated before entering Noisebridge, and we will work to actively communicate such through signage and tours - Requiring vaccination records are more harmful than helpful, both because of de-anonymization and internal biases - Masks will be negotiated by small-C consensus of the people inside Noisebridge. This proposal is to either reaffirm these, or edit the proposal into something everyone agrees with.

Lizzard-it is also about fairness and about how checks might have biases

Lizzard-We have had this happen (person who blocked everything), and we got through it.

- We do need to discuss this at some point because it is a problem that happens... people blocking and then not negotiating/ compromising.

Liz - we shoukdn't need consensus all that often anyways

Do-ocratic Task Board

Participation also means doing stuff to contribute to the space. Propose new tasks or pick some tasks from Github, from what needs to be done around you, or whatever, and see if someone will sign up to work on that task. Anyone can sign up and it's a great way to show you are contributing!

• PGP Key Signing could happen now (if it doesn't happen before any given Meeting). Ask others around the space or check the list to see who wants in on the action.

Example tasks:

• Collect all the trash in the space into the large bins on Sunday night!
• Document how one of the 3D printers works on the wiki, print out QR code linking to it & tape it to that printer!
• Find us a plumber to fix the toilet and hang out with them in the space while they fix it (Perhaps organizing an entire toilet replacement workshop!)
