I don't understand. I think there are linux drivers available for the touchscreen. they just weren't configuring correctly when I tried them.
check out zytronic, is it a zxy100 zytronic or a zxy zytronic? there are linux drivers (yes blobs) from the updd project or touch-base updd project.
