I like the McWire, as it is designed for both milling and printing, is cheap, has the smaller and simpler parts list (as compared to the Darwin machine), seems to be the easier / faster of the two, and uses 3/4" steel plumber's pipe as the primary structural component, which I have an aesthetic weakness for.

I don't have a particular preference based on which finished machine will be better or worse; if anybody has insight, I welcome it, otherwise I'm going to start going down the McWire BOM and obtaining parts.
