In memory of hacktivist Aaron Swartz, there will be a series of hackathons around the world in Jan.-Feb., 2013 dedicated to understanding Aaron's work and keeping his projects alive. Themes include open information access, sharing and preserving human knowledge, hacking for social/political justice, and techno-activism.
