The one we have is a chunky knit that can be set up to be a double knit
machine. It's labeled as a Singer LK150 (i think). As far as I can tell, It
doesn't have the computer punch on it. Nor does it have an instruction
manual and I couldn't find one on the internet that matched this particular
I think the two opinions I would add in regards to buying more machines for
Noise Bridge is that if we get more, we need to make room for them to have
their own space. One machine takes up about 6 feet of linear space and it
takes around 30 minutes to get one set up.
Second, it would be good to get instruction manuals for people to read
before they try to use them as both a flat bed and double bed. They don't
break easily if you know what you're doing, but getting one tangled
will inevitably bend and break hooks. I have a book of hand written
instructions from my knitting machine class, but it's based on a different
machine and full of hand drawings that might not be easy for others to
We also don't have any yarn, with the acception of the two small spools I
brought in, and Scrap doesn't haven any at this point either. Ideally, we
would have cones and a cone winder so people can spool their own yarn.
blah blah blah
