[Noisebridge-discuss] Fwd: New equipment for noisebridge :)

Very Interesting proposal. It would be neat to learn to use it.

It is not unprecedented for Hackerspaces to formally host privately
owned equipment. I don't know if this has ever been done at
Noisebridge on this scale.

I doubt anyone would go out of their way to break the injection
moulding machine. However, Noisebridge probably can't afford to be
liable to another company for such a classy piece of equipment, or
production time lost do to damages.

The relationship between Noisebridge and Droponic in regards to the
machine would need to be clearly defined; i.e. "good contracts make
good friends".

If Droponic wanted to have the machine at Noisebridge a clear written
agreement would need to be made stating something along the lines of
"if the machine is broken or stolen while it is a Noisebridge,
Noisebridge does not obligate itself to repair or replace the
equipment nor reimburse for lost production time and materials."

The details of who maintains their company's equipment while it is
hosted at Noisebridge should also be worked out in writing.
