Also worth checking out Modern Times on 20th &amp; Valencia, which is right near Dog-eared Books and the wonderful Borderlands.  Forest Books and uhh some other super-hip establishment on 16th between Valencia and Guerrero, Aardvark on Market and Church.<div>

Oh, yeah, and there&#39;s also AK Press, a publisher of &quot;anarchist and radical&quot; books (as quoted from their website.  They have lots of very interesting, and often controversial books.  They used to be in SF, but got squeezed out to Oakland during the <a href="http://dot.com" target="_blank">dot.com</a> invasion, just before the dot.bomb repelled the invaders.<br>
