[Space] DSLR Cameras

I would have to agree with Jonathan about the Canon 7D. I think there are
more Canon people with lenses at NB than Nikon people, but the scales are
probably pretty close.
Any DSLR that allows for an external shutter release would work for
ballooning purposes. Then a wide-angle prime lens with a large aperture
would definitely increase the quality and speed of the shots.
The Canon G series are also very good cameras. They use similar digital
sensors to the DSLRs but you loose the ability to change lenses. I would
love to try out a Sigma DP2s, but I don't know of any stores that actually
carry them, and I don't want to drop $600 to see if I like it.

My recommendation would be to figure out how much camera you want to buy
then get what you want. If you don't mind us flying it, we DEFINITELY will
and we'll thank you for it.

That's my $(1/50).
