Label maker
(Not to be confused with a Label Printer. A label maker is for labeling things such as drawers, containers, objects of unclear purpose, etc.)
Works as of 2020-02-03, with a D1 black-on-white cartridge.
We have a Dymo RhinoPro 1000 handheld label maker (a.k.a. labeler), which is currently in the stationery cart near the space's entrance.
The RhinoPro takes Dymo D1 cartridges, but it also takes Dymo IND (industrial) cartridges, which come in specified materials like nylon or vinyl. There are also IND heat-shrink tubing cartridges, so theoretically, we could use the RhinoPro to print heat-shrink tube labels.
D1 cartridges can be had for approximately $15 each at office-supply stores. IND cartridges are about the same and can be ordered from the Home Depot.
The RhinoPro takes six AAA batteries. The battery compartment door is missing, but the batteries stay in well enough.
- Refill: Dymo D1 or IND cartridges
