Spending Needs[edit | edit source]

Gotta spend money on XYZ (i.e. Gate, wiring etc.). WHO CAN SIGN THE CHECK OR LEND THE CREDIT CARD!?!?! It doesn't matter if we agree to do something and it can’t be paid for.

Fundraising Update[edit | edit source]

How's it all going

Big C Consensus Items[edit | edit source]

Nobody likes 3 hour meetings, only explain if people ask

Consensus Items [edit | edit source]

Only for talking about Big C consensus items, small c consensus items should be discussed with people at the space at the time of the change/new item. No items this week. (https://www.noisebridge.net/wiki/Current_Consensus_Items)

Discussion[edit | edit source]

Discussion Item 1[edit | edit source]

teams of volunteers ready ahead of time: door, bar, tabling

  • J: We need people at the door to make sure we track people coming in. People running bar for NB donations. I Want to start in future to get the space a new PA system for the space as a whole in the music area that we can use for these kinds of events. We have had band crews bring outside PAs but we could fundraise for that. We used to have a music equipment budget in the old space and it would be good to do that again.
  • LX: I'll volunteer for tabling/outreach outside.

The way we usually do event planning is we have volunteer lists on the wiki. I'll add the wiki stuff. Is anybody interested in helping? It was super fun last time.

  • The wiki page to sign up at is (https://www.noisebridge.net/wiki/Oscilatormarch4) .
  • The other thing is the LED bathroom signage and a sign on the bathrooms telling people about the upstairs bathroom in the lighted hallway.
  • Event readiness team should have a pre-setup outreach table and refreshments station / bar that can be wheeled out to the outside and front areas during events.
  • J: They just wanted to be on the same level as the people in solidarity. They want to do another show. I wish they could be more on top of the door and people inside. It would be cool if they could help us donate for the space.
  • LXPK: That's part of our checklist and we should update it, make it easy to use, and ensure it gets used at all future events.
  • HB: I mentioned that my cousin will be donating a drum kit on discord. Not sure if anyone saw that.

HB says:He has some other gear. Like amps and other stuff. I have some random music gear. HB says:Nope. But it sounds rad.

Discussion Item 2[edit | edit source]

Finding signs for anniversary party. - More signs. Upstairs bathroom. - Protecting, buffer space for equipment. E.g. avoid bumping laser cutter. - Tabling supplies ready.

Discussion Item 3[edit | edit source]

What we can do to help Ukraine. (HB?)

HB says:https://news.yahoo.com/hundreds-thousands-join-ukraine-army-141050011.html

  • Ukrainian Foreign Legion is seeking volunteers (especially ex-military) if that's what you want to do.
  • Is there any cyberwar defense stuff we can help with?
  • The Minister of Tech of Ukraine put out a call for anybody who can help with cybersecurity: (https://www.zdnet.com/article/ukraine-is-building-an-it-army-of-volunteers-something-thats-never-been-tried-before/)
  • AB: My parents have been bombed in Ukraine for the past 5 days. I'm from tech bay community. What I advocate is that you can help if you have security and I bet many of you have some friends or ablities and skills, there are some groups where people are organizing. There are state agencies from Russia and financial institutions. Help is needed. Many things could be done. Happy to explain how it can be coordinated. I'm on Slack and can monitor there.

Discussion Item 3 =[edit | edit source]

Board elections? (How many Members we got?)

  • Let's do board elections that we've been putting off.

https://www.noisebridge.net/wiki/2022_board_election

  • We have a list of candidates on the wiki page who have volunteered for being on the hook for Noisebridge.
  • We want to have at least 3 and usually 5 or more board members to elect officers from, President, Secretary, Treasurer plus Undertreasurer volunteers.
  • Mcint: We are reading the bylaws as to how to do it.
  • LX: We need to figure out how running it works for next week so let's dive into the process after the meeting and announce it for next week.

Do-ocratic Task Board[edit | edit source]

Participation also means doing stuff to contribute to the space. Propose new tasks or pick some tasks from Github, from what needs to be done around you, or whatever, and see if someone will sign up to work on that task. Anyone can sign up and it's a great way to show you are contributing!

End of Meeting[edit | edit source]

  • Prepare the next weeks' meeting notes
