Excellence[edit | edit source]
Our One Rule is to Be Excellent to Each Other. https://noisebridge.net/wiki/excellence TJ: This place gives lots of freedom and responsibility. It is up to individuals to be respectful to each other and take care of the space or leave it the same if not better than you found it.
lxpk: Not easy to be excellent always. We have stuff on excellence page for conflict resolution. We also have stuff on restorative communication. without good faith effort in de-escalation, ask to disengage. If they refuse or escalate, that qualifies as harrassment. We don't tolerate harrassment, and you can ask the person to leave. Even if you were accused on thin grounds, leaving briefly woudl be the excellent thing to do.
(What does that mean? Everyone is expected to follow the Anti-Harassment Policy, please familiarize yourself with it.) TWO MINUTES MAX

Financial Report[edit | edit source]
Anarchist societies under a capitalist state need money to survive and thrive, yo.

- Cashflow has been spending about 12K/month but not sure what our revenues are right now.
- Noisetor (See the bulletpoints at the bottom of http://noisetor.net/finances/#summary):
- Any other details by those participating in handling our financials
- The latest financial reports from the treasurer are available at https://noisebridge.net/wiki/Finances
Spending Needs[edit | edit source]
Gotta spend money on XYZ (i.e. Gate, wiring etc.). WHO CAN SIGN THE CHECK OR LEND THE CREDIT CARD!?!?! It doesn't matter if we agree to do something and it can’t be paid for.
- $1200 for the wall. (Details in discussion time)
- $220 for the gate bars.(?)
- $150 for noise curtain http://noisebridge.net/wiki/noisecurtain
- Mark: Could we make this more useful like links to the things to buy?
- TJ: We can discuss that.
- LX: expenditures out of pocket (booze, poster printing) $100-200 (petty cash?) I'll document it and take care of it.
- finance-wg
Fundraising Update[edit | edit source]
How's it all going Sunday streets is happening. Any other fundraisers?
- Mark: There's a fundraising working group to join
- LX: fundraising is also participation raising and increases our scale - more events = more poeple = more $$
Big C Consensus Items[edit | edit source]
Nobody likes 3 hour meetings, only explain if people ask
Consensus Items [edit | edit source]
Only for talking about Big C consensus items, small c consensus items should be discussed with people at the space at the time of the change/new item.

Need volunteers, everyone possible
Channel on Discord called #sunday-streets under Events
multiple planners, alex has things to attend so we need multiple planners just in case alex disappears. the booth designer is important, someone or some people need to build the booth.
set up coordinator and cleanup coordinator
tour guides, people who will be at noisebridge to show noisebridge.
work shop and tool trainers, people who can give hands on how to use the tools around noisebridge
five minutes of fame teachers, that could be streamed to the booth.
we are like an embassy, sunday streets is cool, but noisebridge is cool too!
we could have tour schedule, like a noisebridge bus to and from the booth. better than a trickle, a full circuit
T : I want to talk with people rather than do it alone.
lxpk : Be after or before meeting
T : I'm free most days
lxpk : First next meeting is tomorrow
Discussion Item 2[edit | edit source]
- Shed & Gate/fence
- Claus: Shed hanging from ethernet cord, so I brought it in. Trouble getting screen set in face properly.
- If you plug it in it should work everything else is fine.
- Mark: As a side note there's one active maintainer of shed and is streesed out. Active maintainers needed. People who are actively commiitted to keeping it going. So that incidents like this don't happen.
- HB: I'd be happy to contribute if you can connect me with this person.
- LX: I'd be interested in helping as well.
- Claus: Ive been posting in the #doorjam2022 channel.
Gate/fence[edit | edit source]
- Mark: I don't have anything to say now that Claus has a list of stuff. Just that we should have working group.
- Claus: We need someone who can weld.
- Mark: We have 2 potential volunteers. I'm creating projects channel category in Discord and we can add that as one of the channels. In general this can segeueway into org stuff for Noisebridge projects. A channel for comms of grouup of people working on it. Right now we're scattershot group with no coordination.
- Claus: We'll figure it out.
Organization of space[edit | edit source]
- TJ - In general, the one feedback I got was for quality of life improvement, would be better orginization of stuff in the phsyical space. More cleaning, more organizing. There are a couple of cleaning projects that have happened right now, which ironically made more of a mess in the short term, but benefits long term. Cleaning the hack shelves, and all the junk out of it.
- Claus: I didn't want to put lots of the stuff back on hack shelves where it would get absorbed. Junk stuff on the stage except speakers is all to be gotten rid of.
- TJ: We're doing cleanup project upstairs in electronics room. Up to now its been floating elec donation boxes left there. What we're trying to do is starting to put them in categories.
- LX: Are we going to be using the parts database?
- Claus: People put things on the floor.
- Claus: Database exists and needs to be gotten off Pegasus and brought online.
- TJ: In person labeling.
- LX: Both!
- TJ: Half of shelving is organized into bins such that things alike are together. Back half of empty bins and random shit. Some stuff outside electronics bins that are random. I'm advocating for moving electronics stuff to shelving down here.
- TJ: We need to clean the elec workbench too.
- LX: We need Turing and Church classrooms again not just hardcoded rooms.
- Claus: The plan is to turn electronics room into classroom again. We have space for electronics down here.
- T: What would go in the room? AV tables chairs conferencing?
- Mark: Have chat with Robert who has vision for that room. Robot.
- Library is right now just a hallway and could be changed to have a vibe to read.
- LX: Too many books keeps room for classes.
- Claus: Just tables and chairs and AV open clean room.
- LX: Yes!
- Claus: We could organie electronics room stuff now.
- TJ: We should announce what we want to do as a plan so there's no back and fourth.
- LX: Music room could be Audio Church room so we have Church and Turing rooms once again! So audio classes happen in the Audio Church classroom.
- TJ: The room we had in the old space...
- LX trays and boxes. things don't accumlate in trays and boxes, they are stackable. with names and dates
- Clause standard boxes and bays for the boxes
- mark we used to have that
- HB: Proposing these. Foldable bins two sizes. Link: https://www.amazon.com/CleverMade-CleverCrates-Pro-Grade-Collapsible-Container/dp/B015PIRFIG/ref=sr_1_64?keywords=industrial+storage+bins&qid=1656472728&sr=8-64
- TJ: In that case upstairs we can make it a classroom and move electronics into new space down here.
- lxpk: Just make the audio room the Church room for music specific class
Claus: We can move the door over, or add it as an art piece
- mark: parts.noisebridge.net is a storage system we have that is hosted on one of our servers, on pegasus. the maintainer of the system is ??? would like to see it expanded to the woodshop etc. a general purpose
Claus: link doesn't work (on wiki, it should point to proper place, editing now)
Wood shop noise canceling Wall[edit | edit source]
- tj the wood shop is loud, in the old space it was seperated by walls, and we want to do that again: seperate the rest of the space from the woodshop with walls
- claus: 1200 for drywall, installation, and all of the studs, 80 for lowes to deliver
- Klaus: bring the tables from upstairs / hackitorium down here, move the tables upstairs (need more tables)
- I'm only slightly concerned about fire extinguisher but as long as we split it and there's fire extinguisher on both sides we should be fine.
- For walls enclosing sound, the laser cutter belongs in an enclosed room.
- Klaus: Once woodshop is built, another bay for the laser cutter would be added onto it as well as electronics. It is there because of the wiring in the wall.
- LX: We had a special room called the Sparkle Forge, which shouldnt have dust. We want to get there.
Resing Printer?[edit | edit source]
LX : Talking with Pier 9 repair people. Woz, myself, etc. talked to pyconaut about getting it fixed. pyconaut said Pier 9 has people. No response, personal stuff. Miki is scheduling to come in and work on it. See #big-3d-printer channel.
Follow #big-3d-printer on Slack
Miki said they would help out by coming to the space. Figuring out a time now
Mark: Generally appreciate effort put into the space to take care of it. That said, I would further appreciate if you start a project that requires moving a lot of stuff, make sure it is well known with caution stuff or something like that.
Claus: I think I posted about what happened, and cleaned it the next day.
Mark: There was a big mess in the electronics room.
Tea: Someone's doing work there, no idea who it is.
Mark: Ho7el on Discord, irl name is Alex
Do-ocratic Task Board[edit | edit source]
https://www.noisebridge.net/wiki/To-do-ocracy Participation also means doing stuff to contribute to the space. Propose new tasks or pick some tasks from https://noisebridge.net/wiki/trello, from what needs to be done around you, or whatever, and see if someone will sign up to work on that task. Anyone can sign up and it's a great way to show you are contributing!
- HB: I want to put a Tor relay in space...
