Guilds

• What are guilds - briefly describe (much like the previous section on "Excellence")

Guilds are interest groups at Noisebridge. They do things regularly together around a subject/set of NB resources. There is a music guild and a 3D printing guild, for instance!

• Do any guilds have any announcements they'd like to make?

Music guild just got a new rack-mount audio interface for the music room, we are setting it up right now! Will make recording a lot easier! If you are interested in teaching a music-related class at NB, talk to Moof and they will help!

Games guild is having game bridge Unityversity tomorrow at 6PM upstairs instead of downstairs due to the music event.

New Members/Associate Members

What are they? Is anyone trying to become a Member or Associate Member? If not move on. No long discussions.

Guy is applying for Associate membership. Mark offers to sponsor Guy. Debray applies for Associate. Wheezy sponsors him.

No one blocks.

Financial Report

Anarchist societies under a capitalist state need money to survive and thrive, yo. Liz transferred $537 into the checking account from venmo. $500 check from charitable matching org (we do not know if it has been deposited). Emeline ordered $180 worth of tools and is donating $100. From Loren, in chat: "Cash Flow, we're a net -$5k / mo, thereabouts loren says:no, the water bill is paid loren says:we get a copy of the water bill on paper, but we pay online"

Spending Needs

Gotta spend money on XYZ (i.e. Gate, wiring etc.). WHO CAN SIGN THE CHECK OR LEND THE CREDIT CARD!?!?! It doesn't matter if we agree to do something and it can’t be paid for.

Spending needs for the Digifae show will be deducted from the final noisebridge donation unless otherwise noted.

How's it all going

Went over this as part of financial report. Digifae show tommorow projected to bring in $50-100?? in donations. Come help give tours around the space tomorrow during/before the show to help incentivize more participation at NB!

Do-ocratic Task Board

Participation also means doing stuff to contribute to the space. Propose new tasks or pick some tasks from Github, from what needs to be done around you, or whatever, and see if someone will sign up to work on that task. Anyone can sign up and it's a great way to show you are contributing!
