What are they? Is anyone trying to become a Member or Associate Member? If not move on. No long discussions.

• Jordan/Fuchsia, applying for Associate Membership. Looking to start leatherworking as part of the sewing/fabrics guild. Also interested in the music, esp interested in jam sessions.

Financial Report

Anarchist societies under a capitalist state need money to survive and thrive, yo.

Spending Needs

Gotta spend money on XYZ (i.e. Gate, wiring etc.). WHO CAN SIGN THE CHECK OR LEND THE CREDIT CARD!?!?! It doesn't matter if we agree to do something and it can’t be paid for.

Affirmation of No Smoking policy (and what about vaping?)

"If you're going to smoke, smoke downstairs on the sidewalk, away from our doorway. This includes all substances, including tobacco and marijuana. Do not smoke on the fire escape -- it affects everyone in the space, plus the ash falls down onto the fruit below, and the fire service gets mad at us."

Working group to clean-up our documentation

Cleanup/consolidate Noisebridge documentation: decades of info, channels, archives. We have a rainforest, we want a garden.

Discussion

Trash woes

Woodshop waste—compost? No, not wood scraps nor sawdust Compost is the right for cardboard, pizza boxes.

We could use signs for this

Temperatures

Space heaters on with windows open at the same time.

Should keep doors/windows closed when its cold.

Is Noisebridge policy on smoking absolute?

Is it really a concesus? - Yes. - It also goes against our lease (wait maybe jk would need to check). Landlord would have right to raise rent if we flaunt this rule.

Kids are also often present.

California law also prohibits this is businesses.

Noisebridge does not endorse illegal activity.

Is there a camp that says smoking indoors should be allowed? - Was planned as a proposed consensus item but seems unnecessary as someone brought up it is already policy.

Since there is no proponent for smoking in the space we'll table till next week.

Do-ocratic Task Board

Participation also means doing stuff to contribute to the space. Propose new tasks or pick some tasks from Github, from what needs to be done around you, or whatever, and see if someone will sign up to work on that task. Anyone can sign up and it's a great way to show you are contributing!
