Introductions

Cloud (she/her): im cloud, ive been here for 5 years, I 5mof. We are hosting * Agent of Chaos Moof (they/them): Works on code and music, talks a lot about chatgpt and opinions Aaron: Ive been coming here regularly for two months, Elle: I come to noisebridge and some days I wonder why I do. I volunteer in sewing, and Anne: been heree a few time to meet friends, only been at noisebridge to meet friends here, Been in sf for a few months, and am very curious.

JX: came to NB, canadian worked in singapore. Ask people to share their name, access needs, and preferred gender pronouns what they do at noisebridge

Short announcements and events

Elle:I Spoke to fabulous artist: event: @daniel community building event. Meditation physical space/labyrinth built at Noisebridge/painted labyrinth at the space (have community vote). Narrow space have her come by and see what she suggest. Another option is the room upstairs, painted upstairs. (limbo landia). Put in for small "C" consensus. Communicate that the maze will be part of the space or put in patio.

Jx: Meetup on Thursday. at 7pm general autonomous robotics event, next month sponsor by google and nrp? Goal: getting other robotics enthusiast to gather. JX used to run the robotics meeting in singapore and sponsored. May use upstairs hack area to avoid schedule conflict for Open-sauce. Suggestions to recruit robotics people at NB.

Mark: Open-sauce, makers youtubers and streamers, doing a booth there and need people if you want to help out please talk to mark and check out the open-sauce channel - put your info on to sign up and help. Trying to work on schedule, running stream after. Thursday is an important day, load of trunk move it then, @arity, feel free to ping. Need people in booth and in the space, half the people who will show up. People at the booth needed. Get into opensauce see all the people.

Daniel: Hosting event with Ellen June 22, buildaton. Building communities. Organization build IRL. Feel free to turn up and build a community upstairs saturday hackatorium using that space. @saturday conflict? 25 people - big crowd, have people stand and be prepared it starts at 10am. Just so peope know they will be here in the morning. 10am!!!

Daniel: the organization we are working with has a few terms: we want to use the upstairs hackitorium, we want to offer thenspace at no cost to buildirl, we want to do presentations, buildirl shall inform the attendees via email that noisebridge is donation and volunteer based. Google docs for extra information: Open in the Sunset too, join in no sign up. Meet other community builders and build that. :D

Excellence

Our One Rule is to Be Excellent to Each Other. Excellence means give and take. - Cloud Treating other people who use the space with respect and mindset of communication first @moof. If you want to make something happen, you do that by talking to people. - Moof Elle: excellence is respect: respect the space, yourself, different ideas. Give people space to grow, try their ideas, and try new things Aaron: Whats been on my mind is all the work that goes into teaching people how to respect the space. Preserving knowing how to respect the space is not magic and people work really hard to make that happen. JX: Everyone is extremely nice, shown around the space, introducing and getting into the culture of excellence. sorting electronics in the electronics room. messy. INtroducing people to the space.

Spending Needs

Gotta spend money on XYZ (i.e. Gate, wiring etc.). WHO CAN SIGN THE CHECK OR LEND THE CREDIT CARD!?!?! It doesn't matter if we agree to do something and it can’t be paid for.

Value of tour culture: If someone comes in and hears "anarchist" "hackerspace" important they don't think NB is a place where I could do whatever I want. That's how we attract months of worth of drama.

Require everyone to take a tour, everyone who visits NB to take a tour. Should we require people to do tours if they are not completely associated with NB? If they are coming in for events or not. table this conversation. good disucssion. Need more thought whether we should hold this as standard. Safety meeting from wiki page to a script - before every event at NB. Voted on this a few months ago. Readable - safety meeting. Last week, first, shorten saftey meeting to an index card size. Open-door policy at a short event.

Do-ocratic Task Board

Participation also means doing stuff to contribute to the space. Propose new tasks or pick some tasks from Github, from what needs to be done around you, or whatever, and see if someone will sign up to work on that task. Anyone can sign up and it's a great way to show you are contributing!
