Excellence[edit | edit source]

Our One Rule is to Be Excellent to Each Other. (On first Tuesdays, seek a few definitions. Other Tuesday, give a 1-3 sentence summary.)

When you see something that is very dangerous or perehaps hastily put away, trying to improve on it.

I think it is excellent to be curious about what others are working on and introduce yourself to others! Get to know your community!

Excellence entails creating a space that is fair to everyone who uses it! Fairness is base level excellence. Replace things you use, etc etc

It is excellent to consume snacks from the bar area and donate for them!

What does that mean? Please see our page on excellence https://www.noisebridge.net/wiki/Excellence!

Anti-Harassment Policy & Community Standards of Excellence[edit | edit source]

Noisebridge has an Anti-Harassment Policy https://www.noisebridge.net/wiki/Anti-Harassment_Policy Everyone is expected to follow the Anti-Harassment Policy, please familiarize yourself with it.) TWO MINUTES MAX More approachable & specific guidelines, https://www.noisebridge.net/wiki/Community_Standards https://safespace.noisebridge.net/ is one way to quickly raise issues which will be seen by people in Slack.

Brief Kudos[edit | edit source]

Recent examples of excellent behavior, say 3, unless the passion moves you.

To Ken for making headway on the wall!

To Loren and Cloud for running meeting last week!

Kudos to Brian and Ken for handling trash yesterday!

To Ruth for fixing the laser filter! Thanks Ruth!

Harrison, who has been fixing 3d printers with one of our long time maintainers! Quiet (at least not at meetings / not known to many) members, showing up and doing their thing.

Guilds[edit | edit source]

  • What are guilds - briefly describe (much like the previous section on "Excellence")

New Members/Associate Members[edit | edit source]

What are they? Is anyone trying to become a Member or Associate Member? If not move on. No long discussions.

...membership

Blue, associate member application[edit | edit source]

Who's your sponsor? Ken

Mark, why would you like to be an associate member? [I want to recognition for continuing contributions and ]

How have you been helping to maintain the space recently?

What does noisebridge need to do next? What could you help us to do to improve the space?

I believe that in creative teaching, you teach people not projects, but tools.

Circuit hacking Monday -- Mohammed -- let's ask the community.

Ms Judy, Associate Member Applicant[edit | edit source]

Mark is sponsoring. Elan expresses willingness. Ken does as well.

Why? Rather than us constantly ringing the doorbell. We, the writers group, including the other 3 moderators, would be connected to me in that.

Key sharing, access setup aside.

Curt (sp), Monya

Elle questions. Other people needed membership access?

Judy/ a proxy volunteers to clean upstairs bathroom at least once a month after the writer's workshop, as part of an effort to be more generally Memberly

Financial Report (first Tuesday of month only)[edit | edit source]

Anarchist societies under a capitalist state need money to survive and thrive, yo.

rev: 6500 expenses minus electricity: 10800 rent + 1200 on other expenses

have a few reimbursements to send out r.e. recent events and equipment

for a detailed report see #finance-wg in discord

  • Monthly revenue, expenses. Big projects. Big fundraising events. Reserves in bank.
  • Any other details by those participating in handling our financials
  • The latest financial reports from the treasurer are available at https://noisebridge.net/wiki/Finances

Spending Needs[edit | edit source]

Gotta spend money on XYZ (i.e. Gate, wiring etc.). WHO CAN SIGN THE CHECK OR LEND THE CREDIT CARD!?!?! It doesn't matter if we agree to do something and it can’t be paid for.

Elan - putting in an order for some whiteboards for the bathrooms' cleaning checklists

Consensus Items [edit | edit source]

Only for talking about Big C consensus items, small c consensus items should be discussed with people at the space at the time of the change/new item.

We're discussing wall design.

People wish

We're building according to the plan. Fire safety prevents doors from opening into the hallway, it needs at least 22 inches clearance with the doors fully open. We may want services doors on the proposed east wall of the woodshop (west end of the building is the back stairwell).

Title 24. (SF? CA?) Handicap access. Intl Business Code.

Meeting_Notes_2024_07_02#Spending_Needs previous budget mention.

It's a partition wall, it wont have power at least. From an inspector, we have a verbal license to begin, understanding that we do construction according to code.

Do-ocratic Task Board[edit | edit source]

Participation also means doing stuff to contribute to the space. Propose new tasks or pick some tasks from Github, from what needs to be done around you, or whatever, and see if someone will sign up to work on that task. Anyone can sign up and it's a great way to show you are contributing!
