Mark - moderatin', games Evy, newbie, interested in music room and learning how to saw, found some interesting books here i want to read Jeremy - also new! first thing caught my eye is working on the games area, also want to play around in the music room and create art Anja - also new! I like working with my hands! Make collages, sew, paint, etc etc. Recently taken an interest in programming Cynthia - been around a long time. Not a techie. I like conversation and helping ppl find ideas to avoid synthetic forms of life. Frank says hello! Steve - used to come here a few years ago at old space. I do python and now im into 3d printing. JD - teach laser and 3d printing. helping wheezy with lock-bridge meetup Daniel - fix the door. I like hacking at NB Elan - spacebridge!

Brief Kudos

Recent examples of excellent participation, say 3, unless the passion moves you. CoreyFro kindly donated his truck and time for getting rid of junk! Zacchie gave an excellent tour to jeremy! He was a great ambassador last week! Kudos to Ken or whoever for posting that fun art piece in the foyer by the front door.

Zoning & Permitting Standing Item

Status this week? Helpful broad asks to the community? NB city bureaucracy WG -- JD & Alice, among others.

Landlord has withdrawn previous change of use permit, and paid the 167 $ fee assciated. Contractor Matt is prepared to go down to DBI with Michael Steiner and put in our permit with plans. Once he has done that, he will invoice us for the permit fee and his fee. One check for him, from us. Once we do that, he'll get us squared away with what the next steps are pre-inspection.

I understand the fundraising team is looking at the sotrefront grant from the city. Involves the fence/gate and our awning out front. Looking for someone to do the legwork and call a bunch of fencing contractors. Most likely work will need to be done at prevailing wage/union rates. Once we have a permit pulled for that, thehn we can apply for the grant.If someone wants to take on the task of reaching out to contractors, please talk to me(JD) or Elle about offering to assist.

JD: Since we're all volunteers, people tend to do trainings on things they are interested in. There are things we are missing. But there are places around the city/area that do teach other things, that people can use their newfound knowledge of back at NB later.

From/Raised by: Cynthia Seeking : Advice/Outcome On topic: Proposing a project - a speaker series

Suggestion that we could reach out to local business owners. See if they'd like to speak at NB?

J: may be a good starting point. I know some who are also educators. For instance, one who taught at mission high for like 20 years.

E: Also I'm in touch with some folks on "SF community events" chat. Gonna talk to a guy tomorrow from that group about a particular idea. I also know some mission Bernal folks, a group of older folks we can maybe connect with the youth who can help pass on some SF history/knowledge. We could take this in any # of directions.

C: Maybe we should get people (like the business owners) familiar with the space a bit before having them come talk/do an event here. Invite them for a tour/open house.

Many people with garage workshops around. Maybe we could solicit some?

M: Do we want to have a sort of focused "go out with noisebridgers and do community outreach" kind of exploration event?

E: Seems like a good idea!

Want to have a few ppl commiting to occasionally holding an event together, a facilitated intro/getting to know more about NB. If we have a small group of dedicated ppl, hopefully itll actually get pulled off! I'll create a post in Discord about it! Look in general channel for a thread.
