Loren: Bylaws items [to return to later after discussions?]

1. Update principal office address to 272 Capp St from 83C Weise St

• 83C Weise St was our first space, followed by 2169 Mission st, and now 272 Capp St.

2. Modernize notice provisions; replace mail w/ email, physical posting, chat channels

• We don't keep snail mail addresses for members so this needs to come out of our bylaws as something we do.

This is the second meeting at which these consensus items have been raised.

Elan: Some stairs just kid of appeared here toady. look how beautiful. i myself went to the top of the stairs and came back down, alive. organizing clutter on the shelves was easy. Julius and I split this for $1000. Wasn't sure if NB would reimburse, but if so, it's there if not then it's a donation. :D

Jet: can we reimburse that, treasure?

Loren: just want to hear if ppl think it's a good idea

Jet: does everyone think this would be a good thing for NB to fund? (general assent) OK! sounds good, contact treasurer and it will get refunded.

JD: i'm not worried about the outlets but up until recently the welder has had to be wheeled all the way out to the front, the kiln has only recently been put on wheels, since we've been doing some rearranging, we should consider

Naomi: who's using the kiln?

JD: i've been talking to a neighbor who might come here just to use the kiln and throwing wheel.

Jet: I think that throwing wheel has been thrown out OR it's in the welding area.

JD: I had labeled it DNH. Anyway i just need ppl in the headspace to go, "yeah, that's good we should move on this"

Jet: should we paint on the ground for the power cables

JD: yep, we should paint that(3' wide access corridor adjacent to the roll up door providing access to the breaker panels), fire exit line so the neighbor won't block our egress with his stupid car.

Jet: There's a guy who's out for retaliation who's been 86'd, the guy named Angelo, what should we do about it?

Wheezy: we're gonna print a picture, we've done this in the past -- "if you see this guy here"... what i heard is that he showed up at karaoke he tried to grab Josh's hand

Naomi: so he's assaulted multiple ppl

JD: he showed up at the gate 5 days ago, we have a beautiful new picture of him. heather asked if it was Angelo, he showed up really high and asked me and Elan and said he was "wronged by Jet" and I said to him i'd made a mistake in telling him to come to a meeting [where he was immediately kicked out by Jet], and told him to send a

Elan: he did in fact email secretary@, email has come in.

Jet: does anyone think -- could anyone vouch for him?

Daniel: i've talked to him but i don't think he needs to come back

Alex: I heard he tried to assault or threatened multiple ppl

Wheezy: yeah he called me and Ken a bitch at the fashion show. NB isn't a fight club, i don't tolerate violence.

Newman: also coming back multiple times after being told not to come back is also not cool

Michael: he hadn't been told been banned, i had to tell him [so, 3 weeks ago]

Newman: his actions of trailing Jet and aggressively trying to get what he wants, not ok

Elan: we told him someone would need to advocate for you in the community

Wheezy: i've only ever seen him come in alone and hang out in the music room alone

Zacchae: we should probably at least give him an affirmative negative

Elan: yeah -- i'll respond w/ something.

Participation also means doing stuff to contribute to the space. Propose new tasks or pick some tasks from Github, from what needs to be done around you, or whatever, and see if someone will sign up to work on that task. Anyone can sign up and it's a great way to show you are contributing!
