Modern Inventors of SF[edit | edit source]

Modern Inventors (ModernInventors.club) is a Meetup group that meets biweekly to discuss Inventions. The group would like to experiment with hosting their meetups at Noisebridge and hope to build a strong relationship so that one day the two groups can be synonymous.

Description[edit | edit source]

Calling all inventors! Whether you just have an idea, are already making a profit off of one, or just want to hang around some crazy inventors, this group is for you! There is a lot we can learn from each other, so why not meet up and discuss the journey?

What is a modern inventor anyway? With more tools now than ever before, we know how to bring our ideas to life with less investment of time and money. We utilize 3D printing, Arduino, the internet of things, freelancers, crowdfunding, makerspaces, online collaboration and the internet to improve the world one invention at a time.

Let's talk about inventing! The first half of each meeting will be dedicated to discussing our latest inventions. The second half we will team up and try to create an idea for an invention to solve a specific problem.

Please share with your network! This group is just getting started. Please share it with inventors, people interested in inventing or just people who might benefit from knowing inventors, engineers, and product entrepreneurs.

Meeting Times[edit | edit source]

The next meeting will be on February 15th from 6:30pm to 8:00pm in the Church classroom. RSVP on meetup.com

There will be pizza with a $2-$5 recommended donation. Surplus donations will get donated to Noisebridge.

If everything goes well, this meeting will be repeated on a biweekly basis.
