Tracking work in-progress projects here.

I'm using links to User:Mcint/ToDo to track things on the wiki, esp. anonymous edits, when I'm not logged in.

Misc[edit | edit source]

  • /SHED 2023. Helping Daniel build the next version of SHED. Has gotten me thinking about /Project Derisking, how to keep projects from sucking up more and more hours.
  • /Projects/Member_system. Centralized member management.
  • /WikiMaxxing - making more extensive use of the wiki. Introducing others to it, and encouraging them to share & think here and there
  • /Hardware Hacking Kit - kit that I want to build out & have. Additional notes including recommendations for others, and my researched, rejected approaches.

Tasks[edit | edit source]

RFID Auth Project[edit | edit source]

RPi authentication system for the front-door. We want to generalize it for other systems in the space.

Rack Projects[edit | edit source]

Brony[edit | edit source]

Manual dev(/staging) environment.

    • Want to: try it, build a container, test, before deploying it elsewhere
  • Discourse
    • Build a new instance container. Document. Get it running again!
  • ? (00:00, 11 December 2023 (UTC))
  • member server, https://t0.vc/m "spaceport" python member server
    • (maybe a hosted pastebin too, maybe with user-auth, expiry/default)
  • (docker registry server? - maybe on brony)

Wiki Improvements[edit | edit source]

We face some challenges.

Concerns expressed[edit | edit source]

  • Old pages showing up in search results.
    • Can we archive them? Move them to another namespace, that's not in default search?
  • Just old?
  • Hard to navigate?
    • We're people who learn about weird tools, for fun. Mainly a reflection of "I don't currently use it".
  • Doesn't add clear value to Discord, Slack, or other tools and use in the space.
